Mulberry Tree Events

As Mulberry Tree moves through the year it joins in the rhythm of nature and the seasons and celebrates through activities and festivals in the kindergarten. The festivals may be celebrated in the kindergarten and involve parents in an informal or formal way.

Craft mornings are held during term time on a Saturday morning and to these are invited prospective parents and families. The craft mornings are held in the Village Hall, and our designed to incorporate the children and parent community and prospective parents in  a gentle social experience.

These events help bring our whole community together, so new parents can meet the families that make up our kindergarten in an informal way. These mornings usually involve a project for the fathers to attend to such as compost bin building or apple pressing. For a few years (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012) a group of parents ran a family craft week end camp which was called the Mulberry Tree Festival.
